Business Visas
Australia offers various business visas to attract entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners interested in establishing or investing in businesses within the country. These visas provide a pathway for individuals to contribute to the Australian economy, while also offering the opportunity for permanent residency under certain conditions. The business visa program is designed to support the country’s economic growth by encouraging innovation, diversification, and employment creation.

Pathway to Permanent Residency through Business Visa
Applicants must generally go through a nomination process by an Australian state or territory government or Austrade on behalf of the Australian government. Successful candidates are granted a provisional visa, allowing them and their families to live, work, and study in Australia. After meeting specific criteria, including certain business activity milestones or investment thresholds, visa holders may then apply for a Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888), which grants permanent residency.
Another critical pathway is the Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132), designed for high-calibre business owners or part-owners who want to do business in Australia. This visa requires a significant business history and a substantial net worth. Applicants must also be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency.
